Fire Doors

Cavity Barriers

Cavity Barriers

Fire-rated and smoke-rated doors are vital in containing fire and smoke.

However, daily use and wear can lead to: clearance issues due to sagging, damaged or missing smoke seals, cracks, holes or warping.

Unaddressed deficiencies compromise fire resistance, lead to costly repairs, and create compliance risks— potentially endangering lives in an emergency.

Our Independent 3rd Party Inspections involve checking various components, including the door itself, frame, hinges, door closure, closers, seals, gaps, signage and hardware to identify any issues that could compromise their fire-resistant function.

We provide our clients with a detailed report including photographic evidence of every fire door inspected.

Cavity Barriers

Cavity Barriers

Cavity Barriers

Cavity barriers prevent fire and smoke from spreading within concealed spaces. However, building modifications, equipment installations, and poor maintenance can compromise their effectiveness.

Our inspections identify hidden vulnerabilities and ensure barriers remain intact and fully compliant.

Fire Stopping

Intumescent coatings

Intumescent coatings

Fire-stopping systems seal gaps and penetrations to prevent the spread of flames, smoke, and toxic gases. Common risks include: Unsealed openings from new cable/pipe installations, Improperly installed fire-stopping materials, Gaps around ducts, door frames, and wall penetrations.

Our inspections focus on high-risk areas and evacuation routes, ensuring compliant, effective fire- stopping measures.

Intumescent coatings

Intumescent coatings

Intumescent coatings

Intumescent coatings provide crucial fire resistance for structural steel.

The correct application thickness and uniformity are essential to their performance.

Our Inspections look at the overall condition of the coating and any areas that may need repair or replacement. We check for any signs of damage, such as flaking, cracking, blistering or peeling. We check that the coating is applied to the correct thickness as per the manufacturer specification and ensure the coating is properly adhered to the steel structure.
